I don’t think the dirt will ever come off however i wash my feet. I touch them and they feel like they’re permanently callused. After two days of temple runs, walking and even climbing steep ancient temples have taken its toll on my precious beautiful feet. I’m no stranger to taking my shoes off to visit places of worship, but those i visited previously at least had spotlessly clean marble floors, even allowed or provided socks.Most of them were not in open areas unlike here. The temples here are made of old brick sprinkled with lots of dust. Those that are made of smoother surfaces are still dusty. And you are expected to go barefoot even if the floors are so hot because of the heat of the sun. You have to be wary of small pebbles, shattered glass and lots of bird poop.
